 Stonebridge Golf Course

It's not everyday you play a course that is this challenging, but that's what sets Stonebridge apart. This beautiful course was built in 1994 by the City of Rome to offer a public, championship course in the Northwest Georgia area. Rome is very proud to be the home of this Arthur Davis designed course which is an 18-hole, par 72 championship layout measuring 6,832 yards of Bermuda fairways and bent grass greens.

Set in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains just to the north of Rome, the course combines those famous rolling hills with unique tee placements, tall Georgia pines and water hazards from our 27 acre lake. While you have the breathtaking views of mountains and foothills, play is on a fairly even stable terrain. But don't be surprised if you run across wild turkey, geese or a deer or two. Stonebridge backs up the 27,000 acres that comprise Berry College which is a protected wild life area.

With all of this going for it, it's no wonder that Stonebridge has received accolades from prominent publications such as Golf Digest and Georgia Golf News and is frequently referred to as “the gem of Northwest Georgia”. Golf Digest named Stonebridge “One of Georgia's Top Twenty Golf Courses” in 1997 and included Stonebridge as “One of America's Top 75 Best Most Affordable Courses” in 1996. Georgia Golf News listed Stonebridge as “Georgia's Best Public Golf Course in 2002.”

Stonebridge has also proudly hosted such high profile tournaments as The Georgia Public Links and The Georgia Senior Women's Championships. Stonebridge is the home course for the Berry College Vikings and many area schools.

Stonebridge affordability includes green fee rates that have led Stonebridge to be called “The Best Golf Value in North Georgia.” Its 5,000 square foot clubhouse features a golf shop with name brand merchandise and the Stonebridge Grill, serving quality food and beverages.
