Cave Spring, located fifteen miles southwest of Rome, is one of those “must visit” towns. While Cave Spring is home to only 950 residents, the small city boasts of having over 90 buildings and houses listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In the middle of town is Rolater Park, home to the second largest swimming pool in the State of Georgia, and one of only five pools in Georgia built in the shape of the state. Cave Spring is famous as home to the Georgia School for the Deaf and as the location of fine antique shopping.
Cave SpringMemorial Day through Labor Day, visitors can be found spending their fun-filled days in and out of the park or at the giant Georgia-shaped pool. A cave holding stalagmites and stalactites at a cool 65 degrees Fahrenheit year round is a sure photo opportunity for Cave Spring visitors.
