Clocktower Classic Handcycle Races 2011 will continue as a timed stage race - the only timed stage race specifically for handcycles. The race expands to five stages/four days of great racing and Southern Hospitality at its finest.
Stage One - April 28, 6pm Presented by Coosa Valley Credit Union, and hosted by the Cedartown 5k Race Committee & the City of Cedartown. Stage 1 is the team relay, and should be a fun and exciting way to kick off the race!
Stage Two - April 29, 10am Presented by The Farm. Stage 2 is a 36 mile Road Race around the Rocky Mountain Recreation area. Start/Finish line will move to The Farm, 3115 Big Texas Valley Road.
Stage Three - April 30, 10am Hill Climb UP Lavendar Mountain. Starting line is located at the intersection of Fouche Gap Road and Big Texas Valley Road, finish line is at the top of Lavendar Mountain at Lavendar Trail.
Stage Four - April 30, 6pm Our signature Downtown Criterium, presented by the Downtown Business Improvement District. Start/Finish line is behind Harvest Moon & Mellow Mushroom. The second annual race for charity – the Playtona 500 tricycle/pedal car race will take place at 5pm with local "celebrities" racing for their favorite charity.
Stage Five - May 1, 10am Individual Time Trial on Technology Parkway. Overall awards will presented at the conclusion of this stage.
Special Events: The Clocktower Classic Adaptive Cycling Clinic - Saturday April 30th from 2:00 - 5:00 pm, located in the parking lot adjacent to Hawthorn Suites.
