In the spirit of the Steeplechase festivities of the upcoming weekend, the Rome - Floyd Visitor Center and Last Stop Gift Shop are hosting an exhibit showcasing vintage hats.
The handmade hats are from the collection of Mrs. Pauline Ware Neal, a longtime resident of Rome. The hats are now part of the Chieftains Museum / Major Ridge Home’s permanent collection.
The ten hats are from a variety of milliners, but all are circa 1940.
The collection can be viewed this week at the Rome - Floyd Visitor Center which is open Monday through Friday 9:30a.m. to 5:00p.m. and Saturday from 10a.m. to 3p.m.
