Tennis professional John Isner will be hosting the John Isner Tennis Camp in Rome on July 17-21.
The camp for boys age 10-17 will be hosted by Berry College and the Coosa Country Club.
Will Glenn, Camp Director and Associate Head Coach at the University of Georgia Men’s Tennis Team, has joined Isner to assemble an all-star coaching staff consisting of NCAA Division 1 coaches.
This goal is to offer junior players the opportunity to train and learn the skills and techniques that have propelled Isner to his current status as a top ranking tennis professional. Every skill level, from beginner to advanced, will receive emphasis during the camp.
The camp also includes a day trip to Atlanta to see Isner play in the Atlanta ATP Tournament.
Isner will be in Rome on the opening day of the camp for photographs and autographs with the participants and parents.
A graduate of the University of Georgia, Isner is known as one of the best American tennis players and has been ranked as the second best American tennis player behind Andy Roddick.
Isner made news headlines in 2010 in his match against Nicolas Mahut at theWimbledon Championships. He played the longest ever professional tennis match, which lasted 11 hours and 5 minutes over the course of three days.
Camp costs are $795 per player including food and accommodations. More information available online at www.registermefast.com/camps/isner.
