Appointment slots still remain open for Thursday’s video recording of Civil War related stories at the library.
The Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau (GRCVB) has partnered with the Rome / Floyd County Library to record stories of the Civil War on Thursday, February 24 from 9am-11am.
Stories, both spoken and written, with be collected and then shared through the tourism office’s Civil War heritage website,
www.thecivilwarinrome.org.
Stories should relate to Rome or Floyd County in some way. Stories may reflect an ancestor’s involvement in the war, military action within the county or life during and after the war.
Appointments are required and may be made by calling the Rome Visitor Center at 706.295.5576.
