ROME, Ga. -- Bill Bowers has traveled a funny, poignant path from his Montana childhood to a career as an actor and mime. He will present his autobiographical one-man performance, “It Goes Without Saying,” at 8 p.m. Jan. 14 at the Berry College E.H. Young Theatre.
Compared to the work of David Sedaris, Claudia Shear, and Augusten Burroughs, “It Goes Without Saying” is a 75-minute joyride that blends mime and storytelling into an autobiographical evening of hilarious and heartbreaking true stories. “It Goes Without Saying” opened in New York City last season to rave reviews, and is now touring the U.S.
Bowers has appeared on Broadway in “The Lion King” and “The Scarlet Pimpernel,” and on the stages of Radio City Music hall, Madison Square Garden, and the Kennedy Center. He is featured in the film “Two Weeks Notice” with Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant.
The Jan. 14 performance contains adult material and is rated PG-13. Admission is free, but reservations are recommended. For more information please call 706-236-2263 and visit . For further press info and biography, visit www.Bill-Bowers.com
