Rome, Ga. –

The weather is cooling, the leaves are changing and the Chiaha Harvest Fair is just around the corner.

The 46th Annual Chiaha Harvest Fair will be held on October 23-24 at Ridge Ferry Park in Rome, Ga. This family-friendly festival offers a variety of handmade arts and crafts by more than 120 artists from around the region.

Artisans will demonstrate their crafts including broom making by Jeff Dixon, pottery by John Johnston and lampworking by June Manis.

Top-notch musicians will perform on the MetroPCS Stage with local bands Jerry on the Moon and The Hip Knotics. Returning favorites include Naked Blue, Ellen Cherry and Bryan Bowers.

Chiaha will again offer the best food of any festival in the state, with much of the food being prepared by local cooks and restaurants. As is tradition, free hot cider will be available from the Chiaha cider pot.

Bring the whole family and experience the wonderful children’s activities in the “Creat-a-ha’ tent. Children may create sand art, fish prints and painted pumpkins while student art from area schools will be on display.

A truly toe-tappin’, cider-sippin’, fun-for-everyone festival awaits in 2010. Visit www.chiaha.org for more information including a complete list of artists, food vendors and kid’s activities and a full schedule of entertainment.
