Celebrated New York Times columnist Ross Douthat will speak about “Bad Religion and American Public Life Today” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16 in the Berry College Krannert ballroom.
Douthat’s latest book, “Bad Religion,” has been described as “a powerful and original critique of how American Christianity has gone astray—and the deeply troubling consequences for American life and politics.”
Douthat joined The Times as an Op-Ed columnist in April 2009. Previously, he was a senior editor at the Atlantic and a blogger for
theatlantic.com. He is the author of "Privilege: Harvard and the Education of the Ruling Class" and the co-author, with Reihan Salam, of "Grand New Party: How Republicans Can Win the Working Class and Save the American Dream". He is the film critic for National Review. A native of New Haven, Conn., he now lives in Washington, D.C.
