FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
GRCVB announces new award program for service industry
Bridgett Montgomery Hawthorn Suites honored with first award

ROME, GA. —  The Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau announced today a new award program called Superstars of Service to honor the very best customer service in Rome and Floyd County.

The GRCVB will quarterly award a front line employee who goes above normal service expectations to provide the finest experience to visitors and residents.

The inaugural winner of the award is Bridgett Montgomery, Director of Sales and Marketing at Hawthorn Suites in downtown Rome.

Montgomery has worked at Hawthorn Suites for two years and has over eight years of customer service experience in the hospitality and banking industries.  A native of Rome, she graduated from Fayetteville State University following Rome High School. She is actively involved in the community as a member of Flatrock Baptist Church and the H.R. Butler Chapter #96 Order of the Eastern Star.

"Great customer service is going beyond the expectations of all customers by listening effectively, understanding a customer's needs and always producing results," said Montgomery.

"Bridgett is more than deserving of this award," said Lisa Smith, GRCVB executive director. "She is very attentive to the needs of each individual customer and we consistently hear from visitors that they made their day exceptional."

The Superstar of Service will be awarded again in February 2012.  Anyone working in any profession in Rome or Floyd County is eligible for the Superstar of Service award. Nomination forms are available in the Rome - Floyd Visitor Center or online at www.RomeGeorgia.org. The GRCVB Board of Directors will choose the most outstanding customer service provider from all nominations.

"We want to recognize the very best in service across the county and have our front-line employees raise their standards to compete for this award," said Smith.
