FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
John Isner Tennis Camp will return to Rome

ROME, GA. —  Tennis professional John Isner has announced that his 2012 Tennis Camp will return to Rome, Ga.

Isner and University of Georgia tennis coach Will Glenn will hold their 2012 training camp for 10-17 year olds on July 15-19 at Berry College.

"John Isner and Will Glenn were pleased with their experience in the Rome community and feel that they can grow their camp with our superb tennis programs and the future of the Tennis Center of Georgia," said Lisa Smith, executive director of the GRCVB.

This goal of the camp is to offer junior players the opportunity to train and learn the skills and techniques that have propelled Isner to his current status as a top ranking tennis professional. Every skill level, from beginner to advanced, will receive emphasis during the camp. Isner will be in Rome on the opening day of the camp for photographs and autographs with the participants and parents.

A graduate of the University of Georgia, Isner is known as one of the best American tennis players.

Isner made news headlines in 2010 in his match against Nicolas Mahut at the Wimbledon Championships. He played the longest ever professional tennis match, which lasted 11 hours and 5 minutes over the course of three days.

"The Coosa Valley Tennis Association is thrilled that John Isner and Will Glenn are returning to Rome to host the 2012 Isner Bulldog Tennis Camp. We feel it's a natural fit for the camp to be in Rome, which has a rich tennis history and adheres to our mission and that of the USTA's to promote and develop tennis," said Jim O'Hara, president of Coosa Valley Tennis Association.

A new information website, http://isnertenniscamps.com/, has also been launched to support the tennis camp.
