FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
47th Annual Chiaha Harvest Fair will be held October 22nd-23rd
ROME, Ga. - It's that time of year again! The weather is cooling, the leaves are changing and the Chiaha Harvest Fair is here! The 47th Annual Chiaha Harvest Fair will be held on October 22nd & 23rd at Ridge Ferry Park in Rome, GA.
This family-friendly festival offers a variety of handmade arts and crafts by more than 120 artists from around the region. There will be artisans demonstrating their craft including woodcarving by John Durocher, folk pottery by Shelby West, knitting by Alex Locke-Norton and more.
As always, there will be a variety of musicians on the MetroPCS Stage. New acts this year include The Van Lears, Out of the Rain, and The Julie Gribble Band. Returning favorites are Naked Blue, Jennifer Daniels and Bryan Bowers.
Chiaha always offers the best food of any festival in the area, with much of the food being prepared by local cooks who have been turning out the food at Chiaha for years. Some fan-favorites include Kettle Korn, old-fashioned soda fountain, Lucy & Ethel’s fried pies, BBQ, and much more. As is traditional, free hot cider will be available from the Chiaha cider pot.
Bring the whole family and experience the wonderful children’s activities in the Creat-a-ha tent. Handmade paper, fish prints, and painted pumpkins are just a few of the projects that kids can look forward to. Student artists from local schools will have their work on display in the student art tent.
A truly toe-tappin’, cider-sippin’, fun-for-everyone festival awaits. Visit www.chiaha.org for more information including a complete list of artists, food vendors and kid’s activities, as well as a full schedule of entertainment throughout the weekend.
