Calling all choirs! Christmas celebration to feature mass choir
ROME, GA. — Choirs from across the State of Georgia are invited to participate in the third biennial Christmas Candlelight Concert and Processional in Historic Downtown Rome to be held on December 6.
At 6pm, a candlelight processional will begin at the Rome City Auditorium on Broad Street and end at The Forum.
The 6:30pm concert at The Forum features en masse choir comprised of community, school and church groups accompanied by a large orchestra. Notable Georgians will present a reading of One Solitary Life and the traditional Christmas story from the book of Luke.
The 2009 concert drew a crowd of approximately 2,500 people from around Northwest Georgia.
All choirs from high school to adult are invited to participate in this non-denominational community event. Individuals not associated with a community choir are invited to participate.
The concert and processional is sponsored by the Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau (GRCVB) and Rome's Own Musical Ensembles (R.O.M.E.).
