FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
New guide features Rome photographers
ROME, GA. – The Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau (GRCVB) has released a newly redesigned visitor guide featuring photos from a dozen community photographers.
Community photos were chosen from the best entries of the 2010 summer and fall photo contests. A photo of the Old Mill at Berry College by Bethany Stiefel adorns the cover.
In addition to Stiefel, locals included in the new guide include: Vic Tinney, William Greg McCary, Patricia Montgomery, Richard Dixon, Gena Flanigen, Melanie Abney, William Harbin, Jason Blalock, Ben Farnham and Hannah Lucas.
The new publication is a partnership of the GRCVB, Downtown Development Authority, Business Improvement District and the Office of Downtown Development. It combines four formerly separate publications: the Georgia's Rome Visitor Guide, the Downtown Business Directory, the Downtown Parking Guide and the Georgia's Rome Coupon Book.
"We are proud to have an active working partnership with the downtown offices and organizations that allow us to produce such stunning guides for our visitors and citizens alike," said Lisa Smith, GRCVB executive director.
The new 2011 Georgia's Rome Visitor Guide and the Guide to Downtown Rome is found online at http://www.romegeorgia.org/VisitRome/VisitorGuideMap.aspx.
Copies of the new guide are available for free at the Rome - Floyd Visitor Center located at 402 Civic Center Drive.
The GRCVB is currently running the 2011 summer photo contest themed "100 Days of Summer Smiles." Submissions are due by August 21 and may be included in future publications and advertising.
