GRCVB seeking summer events for calendar
 
ROME, GA. – Summer days are just around the corner and the Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau (GRCVB) is preparing to publish the 2011 Summer Calendar of Events.
 
In order for to be included in summer printed calendar that is distributed around the state, the GRCVB must receive the event submission by Tuesday, May 17 for all events through August 31, 2011. All events must be submitted electronically on www.romegeorgia.org under the Event Submission Form.
 
The GRCVB is also seeking calendar submissions for all events through the end of 2012. Approved events will be marketed by the GRCVB in publications, advertisements and submitted to the Tourism office of the State Department of Economic Development for the state calendar of events. 
 
Events must take place within Floyd County and must fall within the requirements of the GRCVB calendar policy, which is available on www.RomeGeorgia.org.

The Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau (GRCVB) is the Destination Marketing Organization serving Rome and Floyd County, Georgia.  Founded in 1975, the GRCVB’s mission is to strengthen the economic fabric of the community through tourism development.  The GRCVB operates the Rome / Floyd County Visitor Center and Last Stop Gift Shop located at 402 Civic Center Drive.  The center and gift shop are open Monday-Friday 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
