Last Stop Gift Shop to host trunk show and wine reception
 
ROME, GA. – The Last Stop Gift Shop will host a trunk show by MonaLisa Designs on Thursday, May 5 from 2p.m. to 5p.m.
 
A wine reception with Southern refreshments will follow the show from 5p.m. to 6p.m.
 
MonaLisa Designs features the skills of Lisa Gastineau, Monica Hawkins and Pam Coffey, owners and artists of the company. The trio create handmade jewelry from leather, pearls, beads and antique coins.
 
A large selection of various styles of jewelry will be available for purchase. Artist Pam Coffey will be explaining construction techniques and the inspiration behind the jewelry.
 
"We are excited to showcase MonaLisa Designs and their work because their method of crafting together foreign coins, shiny pearls and beads creates a timeless treasure that is stunning around the neck," said Charlene Mathis, manager of the Last Stop Gift Shop.
 
The Last Stop Gift Shop carries a large stock of jewelry, gifts, and local artwork. Additionally, the gift shop is Rome's largest supplier of signature apparel and gifts.
 
The Last Stop Gift Shop and Rome - Floyd Visitor Center is inside a 1909 restored train depot and caboose located at 402 Civic Center Drive, directly across from Applebee's.
