Please submit your event to the GRCVB! 

If approved, the GRCVB will market your event online and in printed publications. Please refer to the calendar policy below to see if your event qualifies for the Greater Rome Calendar of Events.

Having an image in your description greatly improves the marketing of your event on our calendar. If you have event photos, a flyer or logo, please email those items to chris@romegeorgia.org.

Calendar Guidelines

The Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau works to successfully market events in Rome, Georgia for the benefit of the hospitality industry. The following policy will serve as a baseline for determining whether to include an event on the annual calendar, seasonal calendars or online calendar.

Guidelines:

• Events must be open to the general public.
• All events must occur in Floyd County or Rome, Georgia.
• Because of volume and logistical limitations, the Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau reserves the right to exclude certain types of events from this calendar--for example, regularly scheduled church services, civic club meetings, etc. However, we welcome the listing of special events such as concerts, fundraisers or community events.
• Both non-profit and for-profit organizations may submit events, but the Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau reserves the right to limit or reject for-profit events that, in its sole judgment, are primarily sales-oriented in nature and import.
• Community, private and/or commercial yard sales and/or car washes and other commercial sales are not permitted.
• Events will not be listed unless required information, including contact information, is provided through our online form, and the form is properly completed.
• Politically oriented events are not permitted.
• The Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau reserves the right to edit any event or reject any calendar entry for any reason.
• The Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau will not discriminate against any person or group on the basis of race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, or physical ability.
• To be included in printed versions of the calendar, an event must be submitted within the deadline set by the Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau.
• Exceptions to this policy will be allowed at the discretion of the Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau.
